Yes. No. I may be a little late to the party here but I have a series X and the Acer Nitro XV282K monitor which has hdmi 2.1 with my consoles settings set for 4K/120 fps and yet non of my games can run them at.
This new capture card is the first that features full 4K 60 FPS HDR passthrough or at 1440p 120 FPS passthrough, complete with VRR. with my Xbox Series X, which can output in 4K up to 120 FPS This information is now being highlighted on the official Forza website, where it's noted that the game is targeting 4K at 60fps on Xbox Series X, and 1080p at 60fps on Xbox Series S. Here's exactly what it says: "Forza Motorsport runs at 4K 60 FPS on Xbox Series X; and on 1080p 60 FPS on Xbox Series S." Subscribe to Pure Xbox on YouTube.
For starters, Fortnite will run at 4K and 60 FPS on both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The Xbox Series S won't be quite powerful enough to hit the same number, but it'll still offer 60 FPS

With all this in mind, we think GTA 5 will likely manage a 4K 60fps performance on PS5 and Xbox Series X. However, we’d be extremely impressed if the game managed to maintain this at all times

To bad this information is not correct. Because of a bug or from devs they locked it at 60fps on the series x. So yes before caldera we had 120fps. Now we do not. This bug is persistent for 4 months now and is not on there priority to fix. Hope this answer your question. If you want more info you can go to the official forums of raven software
The short answer is it needs a optimized 4k 60 mode. As someone who played it on 4k 60 ultra with rtx 3080 I think the series x can get there on what would be the PC high settings. 99.9 percent of users wouldn't notice rhe difference in visuals. The game is stunning.

That is made up. It has an unlocked frame rate. It was one of the earliest legacy titles automatically enhanced by Series X due to that. Downside is apparently a few quick time events/button mashing sequences were built for 30fps, and are very difficult to pass at 60fps. It was talked about a lot around Series X launch.

The mod has been successful, providing a faultless 60fps performance on Xbox Series X and Series S. Despite some rough textures and lack of effective anti-aliasing, the games hold up well and retain their original charm. The Xbox Series X benefits more from the mod as it already runs at 4K resolution through official enhancements.
