What I noticed worked was running Steam in administrator mode. To do this, shut down Steam through task manager, find the Steam app/desktop app, right click it and run it as admin. That worked for me. If it doesn't, browse Far Cry's local files, go to "bin" and set all of the FarCry5 exe's to administrator priviliges in properties >compatibility.
Steam: Rightclick on your game and open the properties then add "-skipintro 1" to the launch options. Uplay: Open your FC4 installation path and search for the FC4 exe file, create a shortcut on the desktop, right click the shortcut and add "-skipintro 1" behind the targetline. #1.
If you right-click on the game in your Steam Library, do you get a "View CD Key" option? Nope. The game activated after the game finally got past the "first time setup" dialog that did absolutely nothing. Now I have a different problem, Far Cry 4 refuses to go to the main menu from the "Login Successful" screen
I reinstalled Far Cry 4 on Steam a few days ago to play with a friend who got in on sale, this issue only started yesterday, I've tried many different things to fix it. A list of thee things I've done. - Uninstalling and reinstalling Far Cry, - Restarting my PC. - Uninstalling and reinstalling UPlay launcher.
13. Discussions Rules and Guidelines. A few weeks ago I wanted to continue playing the nostalgic game FARCRY, and for reasons that later turned out to be viruses, the game did not work, but before that it worked. What I did was: I deleted STEAM, I fixed the computer, and now I've re-installed STEAM and FARCRY, but it still does not run.

also if your running windows 10 launch the game in a windows 7 compatabilty may help. right click on the games .exe file. select properties. select the compatability tab. check the box that says run as Administrator. set it to run in a windows 7 compatabilty mode.

AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT (sienna_cichlid, LLVM 13.0.1, DRM 3.44, 5.17.5-76051705-generic) AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core. Very light frame cuts once every 5-10s during more intense scenes, otherwise runs smoothly and without issues. Does not launch on CPUs with more than 12 Cores. I have a 5950X which has 16 Cores.
Let's just do a quick run-down of what's happening when I have the settings as in the title: (I own FC5 on Steam) - I click "Play" and Ubisoft Connect opens. - Ubisoft Connect "prepares" my game "for launch". - Ubisoft Connect finishes its thing and the Far Cry 5 splash screen shows up. The game is Installed on steam, or Just on my disk drive. I tried to sign up for Ubisoft connect, but its saying that my email is already used for another account even when I have never had an account, and Ubisoft connect is not installed/running. I have not reviewed the pcgamingwiki page. r/farcry. TnFD7xj.
